Programme Educational Objectives (PEOs)

• PEO1: Graduates can pursue PG and Research.
• PEO2: Graduates are provided with domain knowledge to get employed in different kinds of Media like the Print Media, Radio, TV, Film and the Internet based Emerging Media.
• PEO3:Graduates are trained to display their creativity and original thinking and demonstrate required skills as applicable to all kinds of Media, and can take up entrepreneurial challenges, thus becoming job providers rather than job seekers.
• PEO4:Graduates can branch out with specialization in tune with their aptitude from various fields like Public Relations, Advertising, Journalism, Corporate Communication, Professional Writing etc.
• PEO5:Graduates will develop positive attitude and life skills which enable them to become multi-faceted personality and responsible citizens with moral and ethical values.

Programme Outcomes (POs)

• PO1:Graduates develop a practical understanding of the underlying principles of Mass Communication and Journalism Industry.
• PO2:Graduates attain practical knowledge through hands-on training and project experience to meet the industrial needs.
• PO3: Graduates will be able to write, edit and design newspapers, shoot and anchor news bulletins and television programmes, make radio programme, print and web advertisements, produce corporate films and documentaries, develop blogs, post tweets, make Facebook posts, create YouTube videos etc.
• PO4:Graduates will be able towork on the various softwares used in the Mass Communication and Journalism industry such as QuarkXpress, Final Cut Pro, Mac, Adobe Audition, Adobe premiere pro and Adobe Photoshop (Cs5 & Cs6) etc. and catch up with the ever changing developments in media industry.
• PO5:Graduates will develop ability tosift through the data and communicate effectively through various kinds of media so as to enable the target audience to comprehend the same in easy to relate manner.
• PO6:Apply ethical, moral and social values in personal and professional life leading to highly cultured and civilized society.
• PO7:Ability to work effectively as an individual or as a member or Team leader in diverse teams and in multidisciplinary environs.
• PO8: Recognize and solve business problems in an ethical manner for continuous development of business venture.

Programme Specific Outcomes (PSOs)

B.A(MCJ)

• PSO1: Students are geared up to be a part of production process in bringing out various publications like, newspapers, magazines, books, journals etc.
• PSO2:Students relate their theoretical inputs and participate in production of programmes for broadcasting Radio talks, Interviews etc.
• PSO3: Students produce TV and film documentaries in turnkey method carrying out the entire sequence of tasks involved in producing and making them suitable for telecasting and screening respectively.
• PSO4: Students develop ability to mould themselves to rapidly changing technologies in all kinds of media through Internship when they get an opportunity of hands-on experience on expensive and sophisticated state of the art equipment and devices.
