Youth Red Cross Wing

The Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS) is a voluntary humanitarian organization to protect human life and health based in India. It is part of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, and so shares the fundamental principles of International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement. The society's mission is providing relief in times of disasters, emergencies and promoting health and care of vulnerable people and communities. It has a wing called Youth Red Cross Society especially for College students to bring social awareness.

Social Consciousness and Commitment are an integral part of the College vision. Youth Red Cross Wing of the College was inaugurated during the academic year 2008-09. It organizes various activities such as Blood Donation Camps, First Aid Training Programmes, Blood Screening Camps, Medical Camps, Workshops, Visit to Blood Banks, visit to Orphanages and so on.

The Blood Grouping Camp was organised by YRC committee on 7th Feb 2024 provided an opportunity for participants to learn about their blood groups and motivated them to consider voluntary blood donation. The camp also served as a platform to educate individuals about the importance of blood donation and its potential to save lives.
