Academic Club Activities inculcate enthusiasm among students to go beyond the curriculum to develop innovative ideas, team building and leadership skills. The major clubs of the college include

  • Dil – Se – Josephites, the college Radio Club gives students an opportunity to work with the campus radio and help them discover the endless possibilities Radio Jockeying offers.
  • Gazetari, the print club, helps students discover their passion for writing and reporting. The Team publishes Josepheights- a Tabloid run and managed entirely by the students
  • Lumiere, the Official Film Making Club and Eikona, the Official Photography Club organizes film screenings, film appreciation lectures, photo exhibitions and photo walks.
  • Club Di Commercio, the Commerce club and Management Club-MARG offer an innovative platform to conduct various activities like case study competitions, business quizzes etc
  • JELS (Josephs English Literary Society), the English Literary Club includes the traditional Debaters Club, the Quizzers Club, the Drama Club, apart from Creative Writer’s Club, Book Lover’s club, Think Tank and Civic Engagement Club.
  • Power Bytes, the Computer Club, Science club and Mathematics Club hones the technical skills of the students, fosters scientific temperament and conducts various aptitude related activities that help the students in taking various competitive examinations.
  • Parampara club acquaints the students about the rich Vedic Heritage, traditional values and Indian culture
  • Psyched, the Psychology Club provides awareness on Psychological issues and conducts activities like poster making, skits, etc., apart from counselling services by professional counsellors.

Leveraging robust industry- academia linkages, the institution explores ever expanding frontiers of knowledge beyond the curriculum to capture the latest emerging trends in new technology, skills and values that have social and industry relevance, organizing national and international seminars, workshops and guest lectures on a range of topics on soft skills, emerging areas like artificial intelligence, climate change etc., by experts drawn from across disciplines to enrich the learning experiences of students.

346 guest lectures and 89 field visits were conducted in the last five years. The college also conducted 8 national and 3 international seminars on wide range of topics like Effective E -resources and Search Strategies”, IPR, Revolutionalizing Business Practices in Digital Era etc., to promote research culture and 194 students were motivated to present papers.

Various Fests and Exhibitions like Commerce Fest, Commerce Exhibition, Science Fest, Informatique Exhib, Bhoj-e-Jashn, Book Exhibition, Mrugna, Curofesto, Josephiesta, Jozapphire, Cinevolution, etc are organized to give platform for students to exhibit their talents and hone their managerial skills.

40 Certificate value-addition Courses on topics as diverse as Theatre Arts to Web-designing are offered to boost employability and skill development.

Social responsibility, gender sensitization, national and environmental consciousness is imbibed through several programs conducted by Joseph’s Social Responsibility(JSR), Joseph’s Green Group, NSS,Youth Red Cross and Women Empowerment Cell. The college campus is every vibrant with celebration like Independence Day, Women’s Day, National Youth Day, Mathematics day, Bathukamma Day, etc.

The Career Development Cell of the college conducts well-structured Campus recruitment programmes, Job fairs and has an MOU with reputed companies like Berkadia, TASK, Amazon for training and placements. Wide ranging Internships are provided in MNCs like Deloitte to NGOs like Voice for Girls. ‘Amazon Work from University’ Programme offers part-time jobs after the college hours in tune with the concept of “Earn while you Learn”. 100% placement assistance is provided to students and our Alumni who are in high positions garner appreciative feedback from recruiters. Alumni network with the institute also gives an advantage to the students in terms for pre-placement talks and placement referrals.

Our students bagged 5 medals in Sports and 1 in Cultural at International and 35 medals in sports and 4 in cultural at National Level in last five years.

Our eminent student achievers include Guinness book world record holder, Husna Sameera, B.Com Student, who is the youngest Phd holder at 17; Snehith, BA student, won 2 world championships, top 4 national rankings, 19 international medals, including 4 golds in 17 International Tournaments and is ranked as World rank 23rd in Table Tennis; M. Mayuri, BA student, received the most coveted UN award- Equator Prize for 2019, at the Town Hall in New York City with 10, 000 USD as cash prize.
