Our Distinctive efforts in 21-22 towards Academic Excellence is seen in establishing Institutions Innovation Council (IIC) etc., with an aim to encourage innovation and entrepreneurial spirit by creating opportunities for students and faculty to transfer their enterprise ideas to actual.-A Glimpse
360 degree multi dimensional ‘learning experiences ‘beyond the classroom’
24 guest lectures, including 2 International Guest Lectures were organised on wide ranging topics like International Insurance, Employability Skills, emerging areas like Foreign Exchange Market : Its Impact On Financial System , Export Promotion In India, workshop on Case study Analysis, How To Be An Innovative Entrepreneur, Entrepreneurial Competencies, Entrepreneurial Development, Funding Opportunities for Start- Ups for Women Entrepreneurs etc, and there were 30 field visits. The college conducted 2 National and International seminars to promote research culture and students presented research articles in National Seminar.
IIC has also organized 63 events and activities during the Academic year and reports uploaded to the Ministry of Education (MoE) Govt of India.
A total of 17 Fests and Exhibitions were conducted by various departments of the college :
Commerce Week Celebrations, Vidyaastra ,Cinevolution ,Commerce Club: Ace Club Activities, Commera 2022, Nss Day Celebrations,CinEvolution,Psych-Mela By Psyched Club,Christmas Week/carnival, Know Your Constitution, National Statistics day, Mathematics day, National Voters Day, Aids Day, Constitution Day, Josephiesta 2022, Vivekotsav.
The college conducts various extra curricular activities. 36 students won prestigious National/ university level competitions which include 1 International, 1 national, 4 state level and 11 inter-college/ university level prizes, apart from several National and International silver and gold medals won in Sports.
27 Certificate Courses on topics as diverse as Photography to Social and Emotional Intelligence and Fevicryl were offered to boost employability and skill development.
Social responsibility, gender sensitization, national and environmental consciousness is imbibed through several programs conducted by Joseph’s Social Responsibility(JSR), Joseph’s Green Group(JGG), National Service Scheme (NSS),Youth Red Cross(YRC),Women Empowerment Cell(WEC).
St.Joseph’s campus is ever vibrant with celebrations of various kinds.The important celebrations include the Independence Day, Teachers’ Day, International Yoga Day, Women’s Day,National Science Day, Statistics Day,National Mathematics day, Rashtriya Ekta Diwas ,NSS Day celebrations,Telangana Basha Diwas ,Psych mela,World Photography day, Christmas week, Constitution day ,etc.
The other major events include the National Integration week, National Girl child day, National Youth Day, the library week, Friendship Day etc.,
The Career Development cell of the college aims to provide 360 degree career solutions. The institution has signed an MOU with Berkadia for training and placements and with shining Techno, Career Conduit and Create U for Campus Recruitment Training (CRT) and a tie up with Aspiring minds for AMCAT Test to make students industry ready. Over 80 companies visited us this year with a phenomenal 73% placement record. Added to this 145 students obtained internships in premiere organizations.
