• Registrations were coordinated by Student coordinators under the guidance of Alumni committee members.College proudly organised 10th Alumni Meet “Milan 2018” which was held on 15 September at 11 am, in Seminar Hall.

• Meet started with “Anna Domini”- our college choir leading us into prayer invoking God’s blessing through a prayer song.Mrs. Mary Vinaya Sheela, Convenor of the meet, Senior Faculty, Department of Commerce & MC of the Day, invited the dignitaries on to the dias - Principal & Chairman of the Association, Rev. Fr. Dr. Vincent Arokia Das, Chief Guest, Mrs. Leela Jacob former HoD Dept. of English & Vice- Principal, St. Joseph’s Degree & PG College, Director, Prof. P. L. Vishweshwar Rao,HoD, Languages, Dr. Suryaprakash Jaiswal and Mr. Joseph George President of the Alumni association.

• The Decennial Alumni Meet Commenced with the lighting of the lamp by our beloved Principal and all the dignitaries.Mr. Joseph George and Mr. Nand Kishore welcomed all the dignitaries with a floral bouquet. Rev. Fr. Dr. Vincent Arokiadas, Principal addressed the alumni and shared his joy for being part of the celebration of 10th Alumni meet and expressed his appreciation towards the responsibility taken up by the office bearers in organizing the meet. He spoke about the joyfulness of reunion and stated that alumni can become an instrument of bringing together the brand ambassadors of the college and work towards self and welfare of the society.

• The President Alumni Association, Mr. Joseph George, President of the association from the first batch B.Com Computers of the college addressed the gathering shared his experiences in the college. He mentioned that how the college was in those days and how it grew leaps & bounds. He said the college has many good assets like- good faculty members, good management, and good infrastructure. He spoke about the importance and role of Alumni in the development of the college. He also expressed his happiness and thanked the principal and Alumni Committee Members for helping them in conducting, Milan 2018, the 10th Alumni Meet.

• Mr. Joseph George, also stated that the success of college depends on determination of good management, dedication of faculty, capabilities and values of students and finally the alumni. He congratulated Rev. Fr. Vincent for completing 21 glorious years of establishment of the college and wished that college marches towards the many more years to come in the future. Mr. Joseph George thanked Principal for organizing alumni meet since 6 years.

• Mrs. Leela Jacob addressed students and appreciated them for being part of the meet and applauded them for their presence. She advised the office bearers to start an alumni trust to work for good cause like helping a poor student. She emphasized on qualities to be present in today’s youth like empathy, happiness and friendship.

•She insisted the importance of showing Sympathy and concern for the fellow beings. She suggested the alumni to start a Trust, at least in the near future, so that they can help each other and even others in the present difficult living conditions. She further said through this Trust we can show how to be a better Human. She also told the gathering, not to stop learning. She insisted that one should always Learn, Unlearn & Relearn.

• The director, Prof. P. L. Vishweshwar Rao spoke about the role and importance of Alumni. He mentioned about the present generation and their generation attitude towards life. He said that such Alumni Meets will let us know about the success stories and experiences of others.

• Mr. Nand Kishore, Secretary of the Alumni association, read out the minutes of the previous alumni meet held on 16th September 2017

• Miss Kriya & Mr. Bhargav our Degree Students presented a song. Mr. Prabhu Alumni B.Sc student sang a song to entertain the student community.Alumni of the First Batch -1997-2000 shared their experiences during their stay in the college.Video clippings of the previous Alumni Meet were displayed. The Vision of Alumni was discussed.

• The management has decided to felicitate the alumni achievers based on their achievements in the fields of Academics, Professionals, Entrepreneurs and Social service. Mrs. Kiran Jyothi, Co-coordinator Sciences analysed the entries received and Announced the Winners, who were felicitated by the Chief Guest & Director.

• 10th Alumni Meet was further celebrated with Cake cutting Ceremony by Rev. Fr. Vincent Arokiadas, Chief Guest, Mrs. Leela Jacob, the President, Mr. Joseph George and all alumni awarded winners.Later the alumni introduced themselves and shared their experiences. The Alumni expressed their gratitude and their willingness to keep in touch with the college and actively participate in all the activities of the college. Vote of thanks was presented by Mr. Ankit Jain.The 10th Alumni Meet concluded with the National Anthem. 200 students attended the meet from all streams including UG & PG. Alumni Students interacted with the faculty and Principal sharing their experiences and view during Hi – Tea.

The 9 Alumni Meet “Milan 2017” was held on 16 September at 1pm.Registrations was Coordinated by Dr. Jaiswal, Hod Languages along with Dr. Irfan Mr Srinivas Reddy, Mr. Ganesh, Mrs. Shanti Kiran and Mr Trishual.

Mrs. Esther Rathna, Dean Students, delivered welcome Address.

The Principal addressed the gathering. He said that the college is marching towards success. It is climbing the ladder. The college is has completed two decades. And he requested the students to be a part of the development and growth of the college.He said that he is happy to inform that our students are well employed. He told that he wanted to see the “Josephites” globally.

Mrs. Mary Vinaya sheela, Senior Staff read out the minutes of the previous alumni meet held on 17th September 2016 and wished the old students success in all these Endeavours.

Later the alumni introduced themselves and shared their experiences Co-ordinated by Mr. Krishna Moorthy Senior Faculty and Mr. Ganesh Anand Assistant Professor Management. The Alumni expressed their gratitude and their willingness to keep in touch with the college and actively participate in all the activities of the college. The 8th Alumni Meet “Milan 2016” was held on 17 September at 12 Noon. It started with Flash mob in the ground in front of the Principal’s office. The program then continued in the Seminar Hall with a prayer song by the college choir, “Anna Domini”.

Mrs. Aparna sathe was the Master of Ceremony. The dignitaries were invited on to the dias. The Principal, Rev. Fr. Vincent Arokia Das, Asst. Principal, Rev. Fr. Arogyam, Director, Prof. P. L. Vishweshwar Rao, Convenor, Alumni Meet, Mrs. Mary Vinaya Sheela, HoD, Languages, Dr. Surya Prakash Jaiswal and an alumni lit the lamp.

Arogyam also addressed the old students wishing them success in all these Endeavours.

“Alumni Association Meet – 2015” was held on 19th September 2015 at Joseph’s Hall for the Degree & PG Courses. There were twenty-five alumni members attended the meet and shared their views to the students and staff. The program was started with prayer by Rev. Fr. Richard, Vice-principal, followed by prayer song sung by college choir. Mrs. Aparna Sathe, MC of the program gave an introductory talk of the significance of Alumni Association Meet.

Rev. Fr. Richard, for President of alumni meet, appreciated the alumni members of their immense support in framing syllabus, technical inputs for students and staff, providing placement opportunities to our students, active participation and valuable suggestions during BoS meetings, admissions into various courses, suggestions on improving quality education and help rendered for preparing industry-ready curriculum design. He thanked them for their continue support and service towards the growth of this institution. Mr. Michael, Vice-president gave a motivational speech about the alumni association and their functioning. He also appreciated the management for giving him opportunity to purse the right course at right time which helped him to achieve his career growth.

The students of B.Sc and B.Com performed cultural programmee and entertained the alumni members. The alumni interaction was meticulously planned and executed by Mrs. R. Anitha and alumni members expressed their intension for attending the alumni association meet. Finally the formal vote of thanks proposed by Mr. M. Joseph Rajakumar, Convener, Alumni Association committee. The program was concluded with group photograph and high tea.
