MBA Specialization and Project Orientation Program The Department of Business Management hosted an MBA Specialization and Project Orientation Program on April 23, 2024, from 1:10 pm to 3:30 pm at Vianney Hall. This event served as an essential introduction for first year MBA students for projects and to explore the various specializations offered by the department. The program highlighted the diverse range of specializations available, including Finance, Human Resource Management, Marketing, Operations, and Entrepreneurship. Through informative presentations, interactive sessions, and insights from faculty members and industry experts, students gained valuable knowledge about each specialization's scope, career prospects, and curriculum.

Mr. Ganesh Anand, Additional Head of the Department, organized a
well-being session on “Empowering Teens: Strategies for Dealing with
Adolescent Depression on 27-03-24 from : 12:00 to 1:00 Pm in
Vianney Hall. Ms. Neha Singh (Bharatanatyam Artist, Counseling
Psychologist).
spoke on Depression among teenagers and how to overcome.
Students learned a better understanding of
depression and its prevalence among teenagers, enabling them to
recognize symptoms in themselves.

The Department of Business Management hosted an MBA Project Orientation for the first-year students on 27th March 2024. The event was organized to acquaint the first year batch with the structure, expectations, and guidelines of the MBA project, a pivotal component of their academic curriculum. The orientation was provided by Dr. R. Krishna Vardhan Reddy, Associate Professor and coordinator, Badruka College of PG Centre, Kachiguda, Hderabad. The speaker emphasized the significance of the MBA project in fostering practical knowledge, research skills, and problem-solving abilities. The students were briefed about the various stages involved in the project, including topic selection, literature review, research methodology, data collection, analysis, and presentation. The MBA Project Orientation was a constructive and informative session, equipping the first-year students with the necessary knowledge and tools to embark on their project journey with confidence and clarity.

ZERO DISCRIMINATION DAY - 1 MARCH 2024
Zero Discrimination Day with the theme “To protect everyone’s health, protect everyone’s rights" was observed in the Department of Business Management on 1 March 2024 organised by Dr. Saba Inamdar (Event Convener). The event was in alignment with UN SDG 10. A Slogan Writing Competition was conducted for MBA students. The event aimed to raise awareness about the importance of ending discrimination and promoting equality. Participants were encouraged to submit slogans that creatively conveyed messages of inclusivity and tolerance.

Kona Kona Shiksha
Department of Business Management organized - "Kona Kona Shiksha" - 2 Days Certificate Program for MBA 2 year students- , in collaboration with National Institute of Securities Market on 19 & 20 February 2024 at Vianney Hall from 09:00 am to 1:30 pm. The trainer for both the days was Dr. Shaik Masood, Empaneled Resource Person from National Institute of Securities Market (NISM). The program aims to empower students with essential financial literacy skills. By providing practical insights and skill development sessions, "Kona Kona Shiksha" enriches the educational experience and also enhances career prospects for the students. Dr. Sameera Afroze was the convenor of the programme and Dr. Saba Inamdar was the co-convenor.

On February 17, 2024, the Department of Business Management - MBA program commemorated Joseph's Social Responsibility Day with a series of impactful initiatives. Students from all sections, accompanied by class in charge, engaged in community service activities across various locations. These included visits to orphanages, facilities for the differently-abled, elderly care homes, and awareness programs in underserved areas. Contributions, both monetary and in kind, were generously offered by MBA students to support these noble causes. The event was a resounding success, highlighting the commitment of MBA students to social responsibility and making a tangible difference in the lives of those in need.

The meet was chaired by Respected Principal, Rev Fr. Anthony Sagayaraja, Dean Academics, controller of examiner and faculty members with panel of eminent delegated representing Industry and academia.

Academic and Administrative Audit
Academic and Administrative Audit was conducted in the Department of Business Management on 30 January 2024 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. The Audit was conducted by Fr. V. K. Swamy and Prof. Charles. Principal Rev. Fr. Anthony Sagayaraja, prof. R. Anita, COE, Prof. N. Srinivas, HOD, Mr. Ganesh Anand, Additional HOD, and all the faculty members of the department were present during the audit.

QUALITY MATTERS- AN INTRODUCTION TO SIX SIGMA FOR FUTURE PROFESSIONALS
Prof. R. Anita, Subject Faculty of Operations, organised a Guest lecture on “Quality Matters- An Introduction To Six Sigma For Future Professionals” in Collaboration with Miles Education on 11-01-2024 from 10.30am - 12.00pm in Vianney Hall. Dr. Atul Golash, Consultant & Trainer having 29 years of experience oriented 16 Operations Students on concepts related to quality, how to eliminate wastes, importance of six sigma in the organisation and DMAIC methodology to reduce variability by citing few examples like Dabbawala, IKEA etc…Students learnt the importance of quality in Industry and got guidance for doing their projects in operations area.

The Manegement club organised second marg2.0 on 6th december,2023 from 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm at Vianney Hall for MBA 1st Year students.
All the students teams gave very interesting marketing strategies.Discipline was maintained by all the teams.All the students effectively participated in both the activities.
