On March 22, 2024, the Department of Business Management at Vianney Hall orchestrated a momentous event to acknowledge the achievements of its outgoing students. This ceremony served as a platform to honor outgoing students who demonstrated excellence across various domains during their academic journey. Furthermore, students were commended for their scholarly pursuits, including paper publications and presentations, which underscored their commitment to advancing knowledge within the field of business management. Notably, the event also highlighted the achievements of students in both external and internal activities. The ceremony honored the academic excellence and celebrated the holistic development of students. Through this initiative, the Department of Business Management reaffirmed its commitment to nurturing talent, fostering innovation, and recognizing the exceptional efforts of its students.
Guest Lecture on "Adapting to the new phase of Digital world and upskilling to be ready to grab the opportunities" was conducted on 15-03-2024 from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm at VIANNEY HALL. Adapting to the new phase of Digital world and upskilling to be ready to grab the opportunities highlights the imperative of the digital era adaptation. emphasizing continuous upskilling as essential for seizing opportunities in this dynamic landscape. Identify emerging trends, and invest in relevant skills, Importance of personal branding in establishing a professional presence online.
The Department of Business Management, in collaboration with the Centre for Research and Development, conducted an "Orientation on Plagiarism & Paraphrasing Tools in Research Writing" on February 23, 2024, at Vianney Hall from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm. Dr. Saba Inamdar served as the co-ordinating faculty, while Dr. S. Venkata Siva Kumar acted as the resource person.The orientation specifically targeted faculty members of the Department of Management. It aimed to empower them with the knowledge and skills required to guide their students in ethical research practices. By focusing on faculty members, the session sought to enhance their understanding of plagiarism and paraphrasing tools.
Kona Kona Shiksha Department of Business Management organized - "Kona Kona Shiksha" - 2 Days Certificate Program for MBA 2 year students- , in collaboration with National Institute of Securities Market on 19 & 20 February 2024 at Vianney Hall from 09:00 am to 1:30 pm. The trainer for both the days was Dr. Shaik Masood, Empaneled Resource Person from National Institute of Securities Market (NISM). The program aims to empower students with essential financial literacy skills. By providing practical insights and skill development sessions, "Kona Kona Shiksha" enriches the educational experience and also enhances career prospects for the students. Dr. Sameera Afroze was the convenor of the programme and Dr. Saba Inamdar was the co-convenor.
Ms Mamatha, Subject Faculty of International Financial Management, organised a Guest lecture on “Derivatives” in Collaboration with NSE NATIONAL STOCK EXCHANGE on 15-02-2024 from 11:30 am to 1:10 in Room no 402. Mr. Amit Gupta, Faculty from NSE oriented 60 Students on concepts related to Derivatives, Types of Derivative, Options, Futures, Forwards, Swaps and related topics of derivatives.… Students learned different types of risk management techniques and various parties involved and got guidance for doing trading using these techniques in the International Foreign Trading.
On February 17, 2024, the Department of Business Management - MBA program commemorated Joseph's Social Responsibility Day with a series of impactful initiatives. Students from all sections, accompanied by class in charge, engaged in community service activities across various locations. These included visits to orphanages, facilities for the differently-abled, elderly care homes, and awareness programs in underserved areas. Contributions, both monetary and in kind, were generously offered by MBA students to support these noble causes. The event was a resounding success, highlighting the commitment of MBA students to social responsibility and making a tangible difference in the lives of those in need.
On February 17, 2024, the Department of Business Management marked Joseph's Social Responsibility Day with a series of impactful activities. Organized by the JSR committee, students from all BBA sections, under the guidance of their class in charges, visited various community sites including orphanages, facilities for the mentally and physically challenged, adopted villages, old age homes, blind schools, government hospitals, jails, and conducted medical health camps and awareness programs in slums. Contributions, both monetary and in kind, were made by students to support these organizations. The event was highly successful, fostering a spirit of social responsibility among the participants while making meaningful contributions to the community.
Parent Teacher Meeting (PTM) was conducted in the Department of Business Management on 10 February 2024 from 9:00 am to 12:00 noon for all the years of BBA streams students to discuss the students' progress and other details. The Parents were intimated about the meeting well in advance by the respective class in charges. The Class Teacher addressed parents and informed about rules and regulations, they also highlighted the effective teaching learning process and how it helps students, student's attendance, Internal examination results and eligibility criteria to write End Semester exam were also emphasized. The parents were very happy and gave positive remarks.
Safer Internet Day was observed in the Department of Business Management on 6 February 2024 by Dr. Saba Inamdar (Convener) Dr. Sameera Afroze (Co-convener). Poster making competition was conducted for BBA students and Rev. Fr. Anthony Sagayaraja, Principal and Prof. Prabhakar Reddy awarded the winners of poster making competition and student coordinators with moments and appreciation certificates in observance of "Safer Internet Day."
Problem solving skills Department of Business Management in collaboration with Telangana Academy for skill & knowledge(TASK) conducted an event on problem solving skills for all streams of BBA second years on 07-02-2024 from 9.20am-1.10pm at Vianney Hall.
Beyond fear n Brand stories Miles in collaboration with St.jospeh's Degree & Pg college held a session for all BBA -IT and BA 1st yr and 3rd yr on 06-02-2024 from 11.30am-1.10pm at Vianney Hall.The discussion was about how branding is impactful and be independent to take your own decisions.
Department of Business Management has organised a student Development Program in collaboration with Telangana Academy for skill knowledge(TASK) on the topic COMMUNICATION SKILLS,the event took place on 05-02-2024 from 9:20am-1:00pm at Vianney Hall in the extended Campus.
Department of Business Management-organised the the 4th Industry Academia Meet" on 02-02-2024 at Vianney Hall with an aim to collaboratively enhance the syllabi of Human Resource and Operations domains. The meet was chaired by Respected Principal, Rev Fr. Anthony Sagayaraja, Dean Academics, controller of examiner and faculty members with panel of eminent delegated representing Industry and academia.
Academic and Administrative Audit Academic and Administrative Audit was conducted in the Department of Business Management on 30 January 2024 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. The Audit was conducted by Fr. V. K. Swamy and Prof. Charles. Principal Rev. Fr. Anthony Sagayaraja, prof. R. Anita, COE, Prof. N. Srinivas, HOD, Mr. Ganesh Anand, Additional HOD, and all the faculty members of the department were present during the audit.
NMDC, HMA QUIZ St. Joseph's Degree & PG College, hosted the HMA NMDC Sustainability & Business Quiz on January 12th, 2024, at Vianney Hall. The event witnessed active participation from 44 Students, making it a grand success. The quiz was organized under the leadership of Jaywant Naidu, President of HMA, and Raja Sathish, the esteemed quiz master.
BBA BA III Year PROJECT ORIENTATION The orientation was held on 6th december,2023 from 1:10 pm – 2:20 pm.The orientation started with HOD speech on the Project Followed by project heads Mrs. Archana mam and Mr. Venkat Siva sir gave a brief introduction about the project & the concept.Later on, the subject faculty Mr. Dhananjay sir guided in understanding the project title & details.Tools like MS Excel, Python, Tableau and Power BI can be used for project.The teams and titles of the project were decided on a random basis.
QUALITY MATTERS- AN INTRODUCTION TO SIX SIGMA FOR FUTURE PROFESSIONALS Prof. R. Anita, Subject Faculty of Operations, organised a Guest lecture on “Quality Matters- An Introduction To Six Sigma For Future Professionals” in Collaboration with Miles Education on 11-01-2024 from 10.30am - 12.00pm in Vianney Hall. Dr. Atul Golash, Consultant & Trainer having 29 years of experience oriented 16 Operations Students on concepts related to quality, how to eliminate wastes, importance of six sigma in the organisation and DMAIC methodology to reduce variability by citing few examples like Dabbawala, IKEA etc…Students learnt the importance of quality in Industry and got guidance for doing their projects in operations area.
2nd club of Marg 2.0 by Executive team The Manegement club organised second marg2.0 on 6th december,2023 from 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm at Vianney Hall for MBA 1st Year students. All the students teams gave very interesting marketing strategies.Discipline was maintained by all the teams.All the students effectively participated in both the activities. 3rd of Marg 2.0 by team 1 ‘UNSTOPPABLES’ The Manegement club organised second marg2.0 on 13th december,2023 from 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm at Vianney Hall for MBA 1st Year students. All the teams gave very interesting Business Models,students effectively participated in all the activities. FORMAL ACTIVITY FORMAL Team 1 – Idea Oasis Showcase (IOS) – Business Model Ideas by Every team. Guidelines for the same were explained o them by the Sedretary. The teams were given some time to explore and think.
The 4th Industry -Academia Meet(27-01-2024) Department of Business Management-organised the the 4th Industry Academia Meet" on 27-01-202 with an aim to collaboratively enhance the syllabi of Finance and Marketing domains. The meet was chaired by Respected Principal, Rev Fr. Anthony Sagayaraja, Dean Academics and faculty members with panel of eminent delegated representing Industry and academia.
Department of Business Management in collaboration with Career Valley organised a career guidance session for BBA Final year students to assist students in making well informed decisions about higher education and future career paths in Vianney Hall. Timings 11:30 to 1:10pm, 31st Jan 2024.
